VAMOS retention study of Bachelors in the Health Sector in North Rhine-Westphalia

Since 2010, the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) has played a leading role in the academisation of health care professions in Germany with 5 courses of study in nursing, 3 courses of study in speech therapy, 2 in physiotherapy and 1 in occupational therapy and midwifery. Due to legal restrictions, only provisional “model study programmes” could be established.

The aim of the VAMOS retention study was to take a scientific look at the career entry phase, employment after graduating with a bachelor’s degree and the following steps taken and also to survey employers.

formative works accompanied the combination and interpretation of the results and edited a classification of the overall results of the project in the final chapter against the background of the development lines in an international comparison.
